Brazil Cerrado
Brazil’s coffee journey began in 1727 when Francisco de Mello Palheta smuggled seeds from neighboring French Guiana into South America. By 1845, the nation dominated global production, accounting for 45% of the world’s coffee supply. Today, Brazil remains the undisputed leader, producing approximately one-third of all coffee worldwide. The Cerrado region is a key Brazilian coffee zone known for its flat terrain and stable climate, allowing efficient mechanical harvesting and high yields. Its fertile "Terra Roxa" red soil, warm humid summers, and dry cool winters create ideal growing conditions.
Grows at 900–1250 meters altitude and is naturally processed, resulting in sweet, fruity notes and a creamy body. Medium roasted, this Bourbon variety highlights flavors of dark chocolate, hazelnuts, and caramel, complemented by mild citric acidity and a smooth, full body. Bourbon beans are known for their sweetness, complexity, and balanced taste, perfect for those seeking classic Brazilian character with depth.
